It is of paramount importance that industrial manufacturing is responsive to changing market requirements as well as disruptions in value networks. Resilience and flexibility are key.
What do you think is particularly exciting in DIMOFAC and why?
The big potential in contributing to ongoing work on the practical implementation of what is referred to as the ‘Asset Administration Shell’, for example, the established interaction with the project InterOpera.
What are the greatest obstacles that you anticipate for the project?
Identifying scalable and economically viable solutions across the different industrial demonstrators in order to come to the approaches that can be deployed quickly on an industrial scale.
How do you think we will be able to overcome them?
Aim at finding solutions that can also be integrated into legacy situations and existing digital manufacturing solutions.
